As of October 1st, 2009, Mercantil Commercebank has discontinued its wire transfer services in U.S. dollars, requested via paper forms, fax, emails or scanned documents.
The Bank offers Online Electronic Wire Transfers, a safer, faster, more affordable and convenient way to send wire transfers between Mercantil Commercebank accounts and to financial institutions worldwide.
The fees for the Online Electronic Wire Transfers are $3 dollars for transfers between Mercantil Commercebank accounts, and $17 for domestic and international wire transfers to other banks –considerably less than the previous fax service costs of up to $60 dollars. Additionally, the electronic service allows you to place requests for same day delivery, Monday through Friday up to 4 p.m. EST.
Customers wishing to request Online Electronic Wire Transfers through Business Online Banking, should proceed to enroll onto the service as soon as possible in order to avoid any disruption in wire transfers requests.
If you are not enrolled onto Business Online Banking and would like to enroll today, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Access www.mercantilcb.com
- Click on Commercial Online Banking located on the left side of the screen
- Select the Login link
- Click the tab Enroll Now located on the upper left margin and follow the specific
on-screen instructions
- Wait for your registration number
If you are already enrolled onto Business Online Banking, you may enroll onto the Electronic Wire Transfers services, using the following steps:
- Log in to Business Online Banking
- Click the Requests tab on the top navigation bar
- Select Digital Certificates from the drop down
- Print the Business Online Electronic Banking Service Agreement
