Important Travel Notice to Check Card
& Credit Card Customers

Even when you’re far from home, Mercantil Commercebank keeps your accounts protected when using your Check Card or Credit Card.

As part of our ongoing security procedures, we monitor your account activity and may place restrictions on your accounts when we identify a transaction outside of your normal purchasing pattern.

So, before you leave, notify us of your travel plans at least 24 hours in advance to minimize inconvenience or interruption in service.

Simply call our Customer Call Center.

If you are a Personal Online Banking customer, you may notify us by sending a Secure Message. Simply access your Personal Online Banking account, select the Send Messages option from the Special Services dropdown menu and include the following information:

  • Last six digits of each Mercantil Commercebank Credit Card and Check Card you will be using during your trip
  • Countries you will be visiting
  • Timeframe of your trip
  • Telephone numbers where we can reach you. (For your added protection, this telephone number should be part of your account profile).

If you are not a Mercantil Commercebank Online Banking customer, simply call our Customer Call Center and a representative will assist you.
