Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest banks headquartered in Florida, celebrated the opening of its first branch in Palm Beach County, Lantana Road-West Banking Center, by conducting a drawing for a $2,500 shopping spree.

The lucky winner of the shopping spree was the Gallego family – Miguel and wife Cristina and their two sons, Alejandro and Nicolas.
The drawing was the culmination of numerous promotions, which was part of the Bank’s grand opening celebration, including Mercantil Commercebank’s cash-on-the-spot awarded through its ‘Smiles on the Spot’ team, who happily surprised unsuspecting shoppers with cash in and around the Bank’s Lantana location.

“It was with great pleasure that we awarded the $2,500 shopping spree to the Gallego family,” said Laura Trosclair, Senior Vice President of Domestic Retail Banking, Mercantil Commercebank. “We’re pleased to be in Palm Beach, and pleased to engage in these initiatives that help us get out there and meet the people of the community on a one-on-one basis.”

Another grand opening initiatives related to Mercantil Commercebank’s Lantana Road-West branch included a donation to the Lantana-based Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, a not-for-profit organization based in the area which sends care packages and letters of encouragement to deployed soldiers.

The new Lantana Road-West branch is open Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays from 9:00 to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The branch is located at 6272 Lantana Road, Lake Worth, in the Pinewood Square Shopping Center at the SE corner of Lantana Road and Jog Road. It offers a full array of services including retail, commercial, domestic and international banking products. The recently opened location is headed by Jose de la Torre III as Vice President Branch Sales and Service Manager.
