Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest privately held banks in South Florida, was recently honored by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), receiving the Chamber’s Top 100 Minority Business Awards^®.

As noted by the GMCC, the awards highlight and celebrate South Florida’s minority business community and the region’s rich diversity and spirit of entrepreneurship. Out of 100 companies classified as finalists, 10 companies won awards in a variety of categories, Mercantil Commercebank among them wining the Employee Workplace Initiative category.

The Chamber’s Top 100 Minority Business Awards^® recipients were recognized after a comprehensive application process in which the Bank elaborated on its achievements as a leading financial institution in South Florida, and its initiatives to support its staff members.
