MERCANTIL COMMERCEBANK NAMES ALAN HILLS
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & MANAGER, CORPORATE DOMESTIC BANKING

Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest privately held banks in South Florida, has named Alan Hills Senior Vice President and Florida Manager of Corporate Domestic Banking His areas of responsibility now include South Florida and New York. He is based at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters located at 220 Alhambra Circle, Coral Gables.
Alan Hills background in the financial industry spans for 25 years. He has acquired significant experience in Corporate Domestic Banking and Finance; he has been overseeing and directing a team that provides commercial lines of credit, trade finance products, and other banking products and services to companies with annual revenues of more than $50 million.
“Alan Hills is a valuable member to the Bank’s Corporate Domestic Division, he is prepared to continue the development of our Corporate segment strategy in Florida and New York and his help will further the Bank’s business portfolio,” said Blas Betancourt EVP Corporate Domestic Manager at Mercantil Commercebank.
Prior to joining Mercantil Commercebank, Alan Hills held significant positions at Dresdner Bank Lateinamerika in South Florida and Sumitomo Bank, Ltd. in California.
A South Florida resident for over 10 years, Alan Hills is a trustee for both the Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and holds a C.P.A. in the State of Florida.
