MERCANTIL COMMERCEBANK NAMES FELIPE MALO AS VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS MANAGER

Miami, FL – June 24, 2008

Mercantil Commercebank N.A., one of South Florida’s largest privately held banks, has appointed Felipe Malo as Vice President, Business Manager. Felipe Malo is based at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters located at 220 Alhambra Circle, Coral Gables.

Felipe Malo, a banking professional with over ten years of experience, manages the Coral Gables Commercial Banking Unit with his primary focus on increasing loan and depository portfolios for Mercantil Commercebank in Coral Gables and the Miami-Dade County area, as well as maintaining and improving the Bank’s existing clientele within his market area.

Well-versed in commercial lending area, Felipe Malo has been part of Mercantil Commercebank for over two years, holding the position of Vice President of the Commercial Sector, managing loan portfolios with bi-lateral relationships. Previously, he served as Vice President in the Corporate Lending and Syndicated Banking Division for IDB Bank of New York.

Felipe Malo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Texas Christian University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
