Mercantil Commercebank names Boyan Mintchev as Assistant Vice President Corporate Lending Products

Coral Gables , FL - September 24, 2007

Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest privately held banks in South Florida, today announced the appointment of Boyan Mintchev as Assistant Vice President Corporate Lending Products. He will be based in the Bank’s corporate headquarters located at 220 Alhambra Circle, Coral Gables.

As Assistant Vice President Corporate Lending Products, Mintchev will work in the development of products and services such as structure trade and supply chain financial solutions. He will also be in charge of accommodating clients’ financing needs offering personalized products.

Mintchev joined Mercantil Commercebank in March 2006 as Mercantil Commercebank’s Senior Analyst, Corporate Credit Services, where he was in charge of preparing credit reports and presenting lending prospects to Mercantil Commercebank’s lending committee. Prior to joining the Bank, Mintchev worked as a Senior Analyst for Burger King Corporation where he participated in acquisitions of over 150 restaurant chains, evaluated investment opportunities, and redesigned the corporate valuation model. “Corporate Lending products allow us to provide tailor made solutions to our valued corporate clients,” said Blas Betancourt EVP Corporate Credit Manager at Mercantil Commercebank. “Boyan has built considerable credit and product experience within the organization that qualify him highly for the position.”

Mintchev earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the European University in Spain, and a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University. He graduated from both schools Magna Cum Laude.
