Mercantil Commercebank names Michael Londoño as Vice President of Domestic Corporate Banking

Houston, TX - September 13, 2007

Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest privately held banks in South Florida, today announced the appointment of Michael Andrew Londoño as Vice President of Domestic Corporate Banking. He will be based in the Bank’s Houston Financial Center located at 717 Texas Avenue.

Drawing on more than 14 years of experience in corporate and commercial banking, as well as trade finance, Londoño will be responsible for advancing Mercantil Commercebank’s growth strategy in the domestic business marketplace, with a primary focus on Texas.

“Michael Londoño’s banking expertise and in-depth understanding of the financial needs of the corporate market will enhance our presence and reach in the region,” said Francisco Rivero, Commercebank’s SVP Houston Manager. “We look forward to working with him.”

Londoño’s experience includes commercial lending, trade, and commodity trade finance, and has acquired experience in the petrochemicals, metals and fuel oil industries. Prior to joining Mercantil Commercebank, Londoño served as Vice President, International Banking Division for Amegy Bank N.A.

Michael Londoño earned a Global Professional Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Investment Management at Fordham University, New York, and a Bachelor of Arts at Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Londoño is a member of the Greater Houston Partnership and actively involved in United Way and the March of Dimes non-profit organizations.
